Welcome to Granger Paths

What we see

We have a vision of Granger as a community

  • neighborhoods are connected to each other with pathways and residents can walk or bike from one subdivision to another
  • where children can walk or bike to school
  • where families can walk or bike together around the community, to the library, to churches, to local stores and businesses, and to parks

We see a Granger connected with bike and pedestrian pathways as a community that becomes a more attractive place to live and to raise a family.

Who we are

We are a group of Granger residents ready and willing to work to further this vision of a connected communty. A few of us are listed on this page, but anyone is welcome to participate in any way.  You can contact us with comments and discuss the project and possibilities. You can become involved for a specific part of the project or you can be in it for the long term (which could span several years).

This group originated with the Granger Community Planning Council (GCPC) -- a number of Granger residents working with Councilman Dale Devon to define a vision for Granger. Any Granger residents are welcome to attend GCPC meetings and be a part of this group. Meetings are usually scheduled the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 at the Granger Tap and Grill.

What we are planning to do

There are a number of things that need to happen in our community before any pathways could be planned and built. These include:

  • survey our community for interest and ideas
  • map out the possibilities for paths (a preliminary map with possibilities can be found on this page)
  • determine  the feasibility of proposed paths
  • apply for grants from various funding agencies
  • work on our own local fundraising efforts
  • work with county staff and councillors
  • keep our community involved and informed.

What you can do

To become more involved and help out directly please contact one of the people listed on this page.

You can complete the survey to help us understand the interests and needs of Granger residents.

Please send us your comments, suggestions and ideas by contacting one of the individuals on this page.
